Maria Fernandez




Maria has the unique experience of understanding elite competition from the athlete's point of view, the coach's perspective, and as a parent. Originally from Spain, Maria is a former elite athlete and has won many State Championships. She was on both the tennis and cross-country team at the University of Oklahoma.  Maria taught at Jenks High School for 22 years and was the head Cross-Country Coach for 15 years and the assistant coach for 7 years.  She was also the head Tennis Coach for 4 years! 

Maria is a mom to two top athletes, including her son who is a Level 10 gymnast at Pride.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, running, and being with friends. She spends most weekends cheering her kids on at the soccer field or in the gym.  Habla español.
